Tri-Cities Regional Airport in Blountville, TN
The Tri-Cities Regional Airport has been a part of my life for 20+ years. My mother in law and husband have worked there and so did I during my pregnancy in the late 1990's.
Every time I enter the building I am overtaken with the visual opportunities. The architecture of the building allows the sun to make shadows play across the floor according to the time of day and the time of season. And the opportunities for viewing interesting people are just as rich and plentiful.
These photographs are the result of my photography class assignments at East Tennessee State University. The 35mm photos were shot with a Canon AE-1 for both my Beginner and Intermediate Photography classes. The 4x5 Large Format photos are from the Field Camera 4x5 class. And the Digital photos were shot with a Nikon D5000 camera for Digital Photography class. I plan to continue to photograph the airport with the Nikon D5000.
